My latest restorative yoga experience was truly exceptional. The use of many different props and the kind attention given by Valerie helped each pose to be incredibly comfortable. I lost all sense of time and floated bisssfully through the class. When the class ended I felt as if I had a full body massage. It was absolute "Restorative Nirvana".

Restorative Yoga Workshops provide great relaxation yet beneficial stretching and flexing of my “core muscles”. I always get a good night’s sleep after a Restorative Yoga Workshop. This isn’t just a workshop where you go to sleep for 2 hours-it is a workshop where you learn to relax and de-stress. They have taught me to “visualize” relaxing images that I can later recall when needing help falling to sleep. It’s also a way to see beginner poses without feeling intimidated. Truly relaxing is something that I have a hard time doing. My mind runs continuously and I have always found it nearly impossible to get to a meditative state. The first time I did get to that "place" was during a restorative yoga practice and it was wonderful. Ten minutes of just being felt like a full night's rest. Restorative Yoga has helped me practice true relaxation. I am not always successful in getting my mind to really shut off but I am further along today than I was 10 months ago.
