International Day of Yoga Open House

Sunday, June 21 * 12-4 p.m.

 

Join us for a great opportunity to try out our yoga studio for free in a fun, non-intimidating environment. Current students can come in, bring their friends, take advantage of discounts and snacks. New students get the opportunity to try out yoga and see how it can help you be a healthier, happier version of yourself. Shop at the Athleta trunk show! It will be a day of fun so come on by and find out why you need Sunrise Yoga Studio in your life.

Free Yoga Classes All Day!

We’ll have four free classes between noon – 3:45 pm. Space will be limited so sign up online to reserve your spot. Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to see the classes that are offered and to sign up.  If you have issues signing up online, give us a call, or stop by 15-30 minutes early to take care of registration in person.

Saturday, June 6th * 1-5 p.m.

No previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary!

Mindfulness describes a way of living every day as well as a form of meditation practice. Through yoga poses, mindfulness meditations, and experiential exercises, you will learn the introspective process known as projection. This practice increases awareness of how most of us interpret our daily experiences through the lens of previous conditioning. You will learn how mindfulness on the yoga mat brings clarity to the practice of asana to bring strength and flexibility to body and stability to the mind.

 
Cindy Dollar teaches yoga classes and workshops throughout the Southeast. Voted one of the Best Yoga Teachers in Western North Carolina for the last ten years, she is the owner of One Center Yoga in Asheville.

Susan Grant is a psychologist in private practice and has studied and practiced Buddhist meditation and mindfulness since 1990. She combines her training in western therapeutics and eastern modalities to bring clarity and compassion into the teachings.
