Our programs are offered in weekend workshop format, designed to avoid conflict with the traditional workweek. Each session blends together just the right amount of asana practice, lecture, classroom discussion, reading assignment review, as well as practice-teaching opportunities for teacher training students. And you’ll quickly discover new friendships with both your fellow students and the teaching staff.
Additionally, our programs have carefully crafted curricula to maximize the learning experience. Our classrooms are well stocked with props and learning equipment, and provide an inviting environment in which to study.

At Sunrise Yoga Studio, we provide opportunities to not only learn yoga, but to understand what it takes to become a yoga instructor. If you are looking for a place to explore the teacher side of the yoga classroom, or if you want to simply bolster your knowledge of yoga, our yoga teacher training programs have a place for you. While not all our graduates decide to teach, they all gain a more authentic, meaningful understanding of the practices and principles of yoga.
Sunrise Yoga Studio is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. After graduating from one of our yoga teacher training courses, you can register your teaching credentials with Yoga Alliance. There are two specific yoga teacher training classes we offer at our studio:
1. 200-hour program—This is the first level of training and where all students starts their teacher-training journey. You must complete this course before enrolling in our 300-hour program.
2. 300-hour program—This program takes students to the next level of learning about yoga traditions. This course covers a broader range of topics and allows students to work in more depth as they refine their teaching skills and abilities.
Our yoga teacher training classes are both informative and fun! We take the art of teaching yoga seriously and explore many categories of asana in exceptional detail, so all our graduates can safely and confidently teach yoga in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
